  • WHAT IS AN A.M.E LICENSE?
    A.M.E License is an authority issued by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, to maintain & certify the fitness of the civil aircraft prior to each flight. After earning this license, an AME certifies the fitness of an aircraft. Any aircraft cannot fly without this fitness clearance from an AME. 
  • WHAT IS DGCA AND WHAT IS THE ROLE OF DGCA IN GETTING AME LICENSE?
    DGCA stands for Director General of Civil Aviation comes under ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. It is National Aviation Authority of India operating under ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. DGCA conducts AME examination and issues the license to candidates without which our students cannot become AME. 
  • HOW TO BECOME AN AME?
    To become an AME, one has to undergo training from a DGCA approved institute and then clear DGCA exams. One has to clear two years course to receive the Basic AME Certificate License (BAMEL). 
  • WHAT IS THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED TO GET ADMISSION IN THIS COURSE?
    To make a career as an AME one needs to have passed at least 10+2 / Intermediate, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, diploma from any recognised board / university. 
  • IF MY 10 +2 MARKS IS LESS THAN 50% AGGREGATE IN PCM BUT I HAVE PASSED B.SC. WITH PCM THEN AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE A.M.E COURSE?
    Yes, even appearing candidates of final year of B.Sc. may also apply AME course. 
  • CAN A STUDENT AVAIL LOAN FROM BANK?
    Yes, Bank at its discretion give the loan provided the students produce all the required documents to bank including admission letter, institutes approval letter, validity sheet, scope of approval and students below poverty line can approach to the welfare department also in their corresponding state for study loan, if available. ACSPL helps students in procuring these loans from the banks. 
  • ARE THE HOSTEL FACILITIES AVAILABLE?
    No, ACSPL does not provide any hostel facility. However, one can get hostel or can arrange accommodation by their own nearby the campus. 
  • WHAT ARE THE SALIENT FEATURES OF THE AME COURSE?
    The AME training courses are designed to give students a comprehensive knowledge of the aircrafts, their systems and good maintenance practices to equip the students to become skilled and competent aircraft maintenance professionals. The syllabus covers knowledge of Indian Aircraft Rules, Civil Aviation Requirements, theoretical and practical training, technical knowledge of design, construction, maintenance and operation of aircraft, engines, systems and aircraft materials used in the construction of airframes, engines and accessories; knowledge of engineering practices and skill in the use of various equipment; knowledge of good maintenance practices, human factors and human performance, necessary judgment and competence required to assess the airworthiness of aircraft and its equipment etc. 
  • WHAT IS THE INDUSTRY OUTLOOK FOR THE JOB OPPORTUNITY?
    The sector is promising and placements are never a problem after successful completion of such courses. Aviation is the fastest growing industry in India in comparison to other sectors. Sources report that Indian carriers have ordered nearly 500 aircrafts which will be delivered over next decade, 05 aircrafts a month, and as per industry standards, 30 maintenance personnel are required per aircraft. After allowing foreign investments in Indian Aviation Industry, international players are positively looking Indian market. A lot is already happening in Indian Aviation with Tata-Singapore collaboration and Tata-Airasia JV creating more jobs in near future. 
  • CAN AME’S FROM INSTITUTE JOIN DEFENCE SERVICES?
    Although this course is only for civil aviation industry but, BSF also recruits BAMEL holders.

  • HOW IS THE AME COURSE CURRICULUM DESIGNED?
    There are six trimesters each of four months for theoretical and practical knowledge. The syllabus are primarily differentiated in B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine- Mechanical Stream) and B2( Avionics streams)
